Kyiv, December 24 (PolitNavigator, Maxim Karpenko) – Russia has never supported the idea of separating the DPR from Ukraine. Nevertheless, the republic continues to move its own way. Denis Pushilin, Deputy Chairman of the People's Council of the DPR, stated this in an interview with British journalist Graham Phillips.

According to him, the DPR does not exclude a single political space with Ukraine, but considers this unlikely.

“The authorities of the Russian Federation have never spoken about the separation or secession of the DPR from Ukraine. I can say that there can practically be no single political space with Ukraine. As for the economic and humanitarian space, yes, temporarily, but it is possible. This does not interfere with our goals and ideas; we intend to move forward and resolve our issues at the negotiating table and in the political arena,” Pushilin said.
