Pushilin laid flowers at Givi’s grave on the anniversary of his death
On the third anniversary of the death of Mikhail Tolstykh (Givi), the head of the DPR Denis Pushilin honored the memory of the Hero of the Republic and laid flowers at his grave. A funeral meeting took place here.
This was reported by the press service of the head of state, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Three years ago, terrorists killed the Hero of the Donetsk People’s Republic, Mikhail Tolstykh, a legendary battalion commander and a born military tactician. Thanks to Givi, the Somalia battalion gained fame as one of the best assault battalions in the republic.
Mikhail Tolstykh could find a way out of any situation, fill each of his fighters with confidence and courage, himself being an example of courage and honor,” said the head of state.
Pushilin also paid tribute to the memory of the fallen soldiers and laid flowers at the monument to the deceased DPR leader Alexander Zakharchenko.
Hundreds of residents of the Republic also came to honor the memory of the deceased hero. During the events, the head of the Central Executive Committee of the Donetsk Republic Movement, Alexey Muratov, took the floor.
“Despite the fact that three years have passed, it still pains us to realize that Mikhail Tolstoy, or simply Givi, is no longer with us. Ukraine is taking our best sons. He takes it meanly and insidiously. This is how those who were not defeated in battle die.
It is no coincidence that Mikhail was called Gradoustoychevy. He always came to the rescue. His armor carried victory. And now, first of all, I am not talking about technology, but about the armor of the spirit, because the enemy is defeated not by weapons, but by spirit.
And his indestructible spirit will forever remain with us, and therefore we will win. We will achieve our goal, our dream, we will live in a huge, big family of fraternal peoples, the big Motherland of Russia. And it seems to me that this will be the best assessment of his feat, by which he lived and brought this day closer.
Low bow to you and eternal memory, our Hero,” said Muratov.
Thank you!
