Pushilin met with the parents of the deceased defender of the republic
The head of the Donetsk People's Republic Denis Pushilin met with the parents of the militiaman, military correspondent and poet Vsevolod Petrovsky who died five years ago.
This was reported by the press service of the head of the DPR, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
During the meeting, the head of state gave the parents of the deceased their son’s well-deserved award - the insignia “St. George’s Cross”, IV degree, and thanked Tatyana Avenirovna and Vyacheslav Vladimirovich for the worthy upbringing of their son.
“Dear Tatyana Avenirovna, Vyacheslav Vladimirovich, I have long hoped that I would have such an opportunity to personally communicate with you and hand over your son’s well-deserved state award “St. George Cross”, IV degree. It's very difficult to find words. I perfectly understand and realize that no words will help here, because, despite the past five years, this pain of loss permeates your entire present.
You raised a worthy son. Not everyone is ready to take up arms. It is impossible to force this, force it... But Vsevolod had sincerity. He died helping others, and this truly deserves his name to be immortalized not only in our memory. This is important for the next generations. He is one of our heroes who lived among us and will remain in our memory,” said Pushilin.
Let us remind you that Vsevolod Petrovsky, call sign “Kovyl,” died heroically saving his comrades: he volunteered to be part of the group that helped carry the wounded from the battlefield, on whom Ukrainian artillery opened fire.
Thank you!
