Pushilin: Zelensky will have to either talk with the DPR and LPR, or say goodbye forever
The new Kiev government refuses to implement the clauses of the Minsk agreements that were signed by its predecessors.
The head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, stated this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We want a civilized divorce. Everything Kyiv is doing now shows that it is not ready to take civilized steps and fulfill its obligations.
It sounds like on the eve of the Normandy format that they want to reconsider the clauses of the Minsk agreements or withdraw from them altogether, or they see reintegration in their own way, but I want to point out that Ukraine did not win when it signed the Minsk agreements, and will not win now.
They signed them, led by Petro Poroshenko, when they were driven into cauldrons. If you signed it, then please do what is written there. This is very clearly spelled out in the set of measures,” Pushilin recalled.
At the same time, the head of the DPR noted that almost all the leaders of the Normandy format are committed to a peaceful resolution of the conflict in Donbass, except for Ukraine, which promotes destructive rhetoric and tries to interpret the special status of the republics at its own discretion.
“I would be very careful in making predictions regarding the Normandy meeting. From what we see, Russia is committed to peace, we are committed to a peaceful resolution of the conflict, Germany and France are committed to resolving the conflict, but Kyiv and pro-government politicians are speaking with the opposite rhetoric.
Special status implies direct contractual relations between us and Kiev, we will insist on certain points for us: the Russian language, cooperation with Russia, our law enforcement agencies, our people's militia, a number of points that should be very clearly worked out in the political subgroup at the negotiations in Minsk" ,” the head of the DPR summarized.
