Pushilin was asked whether the “abrogation” in the DPR will end after the elections
Acting head of the DPR and the only real contender for victory in the upcoming elections Denis Pushilin answered a question from journalists who cited the opinion of opponents that the increase in some social benefits and the limitation of fuel prices may end after the election campaign in the republic ends.
“The main processes that we are targeting, what we are building, is still a kind of long-term perspective, and now, unfortunately, there is no need to say that in a day, in two, in a month there will be sharp changes in a positive direction. A systematic approach is needed everywhere. Just “patching holes” is one thing. This is where there is already a “burning”, where there is a pronounced problem, but this is not a government approach,” Pushilin said in the “Extended Interview” program, which aired on the Union TV channel.
At the same time, the acting head of the republic admitted that the latest increase in payments could not significantly change the situation for the better, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“As for increasing salaries for public sector employees, scholarships and other things, this needs to be done. But now to say that the fact that we increased it by 10% dramatically changed the situation, and everyone lived happily, alas, this would not be true. We also need to increase it significantly so that the situation changes and people breathe. To get to this, we need economic development, we need to fill the budget,” Pushilin said.
As PolitNavigator reported, earlier, at a meeting with the assistant to the President of the Russian Federation in Moscow, Pushilin was pointed out about the rise in prices in the DPR, which began after the departure of Alexander Zakharchenko’s team. Containing price increases for some essential goods was considered a priority, Pushilin said at the time.
