On the façade of the Zaporozhye-1 railway station, the image of the hammer and sickle was covered. Now there is an empty space under the star where the communist symbols used to be.

The Soviet symbol was located in the center of the wreath, which was held on both sides by sculptures of a worker and a collective farmer. At the top of the composition is a five-pointed star.

Soviet symbols were closed in accordance with the law on decommunization. The day before, station workers discussed covering up part of the composition with a clock, the internal policy department of the Zaporozhye City Council reported.

In July, in Kyiv, red stars were torn off from the building of the Bessarabian market.
