The putschists who came to power as a result of the Maidan deliberately and without any fear committed murder in Odessa on May 2, 2014 and began an illegal ATO.
Economist Maxim Goldarb spoke about this broadcast of the program “Goldarb’s Principle” on the KPT TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It was necessary to show other regions that the new government is ready for anything - for mass casualties, for burnings, for executions, and for murders, for anything.
This could not have happened without them; all the witnesses say that local special services were involved in this, that the police knew this. Why did Parubiy come there - right before this happened, and not just like that, not empty-handed.
All this was so biased, so obvious that they needed it. They needed to intimidate the regions. After all, you see, their legitimacy was doubted by many then, many regions said: wait, I didn’t vote for you, and I didn’t see Turchinov, I didn’t elect him president, and I don’t want it to be like that, and so on.
Many people thought so. But when blood began to flow, when people began to be killed, when people began to disappear or hang themselves, shoot themselves, for some unknown reason or something else, and it spread to other regions, it worked.
Why was the ATO launched, how could troops be used when the Constitution did not allow it? They weren't legally allowed to do this back then, but they had to do it. They did it, and, by the way, their lawyers from the embassy of one big country told them: “everything is fine, don’t piss, everything will be fine,” said Maxim Goldarb.
