“We confirmed that we will continue to work together on the political track, including in terms of final agreements on the procedure for implementing and bringing into force the agreement on the special status of certain regions of the Lugansk and Donetsk regions - in the Lugansk People’s Republic and the Donetsk People’s Republic,” he said.

Putin also said that negotiations on the disengagement of troops on the front line would continue. Now this has been done at two points. “We will continue to select those points and those places in the territory where we can continue work,” the head of state said.

“We are ready to expand the OSCE mission in the withdrawal zone and in heavy equipment storage points,” Putin added.

He noted the lack of progress in negotiations regarding the restoration of Ukraine's payments of pensions and benefits to residents of Donbass. “Unfortunately, there is no progress yet,” said the Russian President.

Speaking about Syria, Putin said that Russia is ready to “extend, as far as possible, the pause in air strikes - until we are faced with the activation of gangs of militias entrenched in Aleppo.”
