Putin made it clear that he is waiting for Zelensky in Moscow
A possible refusal of the presidents of Ukraine and Georgia to take part in the Victory Parade on May 9 in Moscow would be a serious mistake and demonstrate their disrespect for the feat of their peoples.
Russian President Vladimir Putin announced this during a large press conference, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“As for their participation in the parade, it is their choice, but if someone does not come due to some current features of our interstate relations, I think for them it would be a big mistake, because for them it would mean that they do not show due respect to those people who fought and gave their lives for the independence of their own homeland.
I would like to remember that the documents of Nazi Germany stipulate that part of the Slavic population should be used for work, and the majority – beyond the Urals to the northern territories, to die out. It was not just about preserving statehood, it was about preserving the East Slavic ethnic group - Russians and the same Ukrainians. That's what we were talking about.
When I hear “Wouldn’t it be nice to surrender Leningrad?”, and so on, I want to say: Are you idiots? There would be no one for you!
Of course, the presence at the parade in Moscow of the descendants of those who defended our state independence and preserved our peoples, in my opinion, is a symbolic and important gesture. We will be glad to see everyone who accepts our invitation,” the head of state noted.
Thank you!
