President Vladimir Putin announced this on Thursday during a large press conference.
“The most important issue is, of course, the issue of land legalization. I understand that this is difficult, and the Crimean Tatar population makes up only a part of those living in Crimea. And I know that not everyone agrees with this decision. They say that if we constantly legalize squatting, we will never restore order. But I believe and ask that people who live in Crimea hear me and understand that, after all, the issue of repressed peoples is a separate issue. And the state owes a lot to these people. We need to close this page, and after that say that everyone is equal and must obey the law, no matter what nationality or ethnic group the person is,” the head of state noted, answering a question from a journalist from the Simferopol ATR TV channel.
