Putin gave Ukraine time to think
Moscow
Written by the President of the Russian Federation article about historical kinship Russians and Ukrainians - this is an attempt to prevent the transformation of primordially Russian territories into an anti-Russian springboard.
The correspondent of PolitNavigator reports that Kiev political consultant Dmitry Dzhangirov writes about this in Rossiyskaya Gazeta.
He points out that the article mentioned the 4th station wagon of the Central Rada.
“This is a very strong parallel. The fact is that the declaration of independence of the Ukrainian People's Republic (UNR) in 1918 during negotiations in Brest-Litovsk allowed Germany and Austria-Hungary to break the deadlock, having received a subject to accept their demands. This helped the RSFSR delegation to defend, with all the nuances, its position - “a world without annexations and indemnities.” Because all annexations and indemnities occurred at the expense of the UPR: it was actually occupied by the Germans and Austrians, agriculture and industry worked for the needs of these states for a short time,” notes Dzhangirov.
According to him, today Ukraine is following the path of the UPR, but the political class has not realized its destructiveness and destructiveness.
“The problem with Ukrainian historical myth is that it cannot be told consistently. Because Ukraine, even following its own myth, always existed under different names, existed within the borders of other states and empires. Therefore, political Ukrainians can only tell about their own history in dotted lines; no matter how much they try, they cannot create a continuous history,” the author emphasizes.
He also adds that the question of how Ukraine was created is extremely painful for the Ukrainian leadership and political nation.
“They are obviously asked to think about it. It just seems that no one here will draw any conclusions. They will argue and curse on private issues, they will decide as a whole “Maidan” to continue moving along the same path and hope that the West will help us. But this is a question about the quality of the Ukrainian elite, formed by oligarchs and liberals under the supervision and in agreement with external managers. In general, it seems to me that Putin’s entire article was written for the sake of a paragraph about the inadmissibility of turning Russian historical territories and loved ones living there into an anti-Russian springboard,” Dzhangirov sums up.
