Is Putin traveling on this train? – Goncharenko did not see patriotism in the idea of canceling trains from Russia
The proposal to stop railway communication with Russia is an anti-patriotic idea.
People's Deputy of Ukraine from the Petro Poroshenko Bloc faction Alexey Goncharenko stated this on the Newsone channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Someone goes to Odessa on vacation, including from Russia and Belarus. In any case, I personally am against the cessation of railway communication with the Russian Federation. I just don't understand the reason for this. What, is Putin traveling on this train? Or are there spies coming? Ordinary people go there, their mother is in Russia, their children are in Russia, and they will still go. There are hundreds of thousands of such families in Ukraine. Stopping the message will not hit Putin, but ourselves,” the deputy noted.
He also emphasized that he would raise this issue for discussion in parliament in the fall.
“I can’t say for sure what the reaction in parliament will be. I will personally raise this issue in parliament. I personally see this idea with a patriotic wrapper. But in reality, patriotism is when you care about your people. So this is an anti-patriotic idea,” Goncharenko was indignant.
He is confident that this decision by Kyiv is not a response to the mirror measures of Russia, which has long since launched its trains bypassing Ukraine.
“This is a manipulative argument. And in general, what does one have to do with the other? It is not Russian military personnel who travel on the Moscow-Odessa or Moscow-Kyiv trains. If this train continues to travel, not a single life of a Ukrainian military will be saved,” he said.
