Russian President Vladimir Putin is going to take control of a new part of the historical Novorossiya - the current southern territory of Ukraine, from where water was supplied to Crimea before the blockade began.
The leader of the Mejlis, banned in the Russian Federation, ex-deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Refat Chubarov, stated this on air on the ICTV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Putin, like Stalin, no matter how much he neglects international law, always tries to find reasons to cover up such a brutal disregard for international law, because our analysis shows that for him, unleashing an external adventure in any direction is impossible, based on what he needs to explain to the world. Not for justification before the world, but in order to mobilize Russian society again.
And then he will again show, using the example of Crimea, that the junta in Kyiv does not supply water, throws people in Crimea into a more difficult ordeal, and we need to help them,” Chubarov said.
“All this leads us to the fact that it is possible that actions will be aimed at taking control of the territory, to such an extent, from where the water is supplied. And this is there, deep into the Kherson region, to New Kakhovka,” added the Mejlis member.
