Putin is preparing to take Kyiv from the Chernobyl direction - ex-deputy general staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
After exercises in 2018, Russia left its military equipment on the territory of Belarus, allowing its armed forces to quickly reach Ukraine's northern border.
Ex-deputy general staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General of the Army of Ukraine Igor Romanenko said this on Ukrainian television, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Last year they worked out a strategic approach through Belarus. Under the guise of joint air defense, they conducted joint exercises, brought in an army, equipment, and equipment not only for air defense, but also for combined arms - so that at the end they could leave it there, in warehouses, under their control.
That is, this allows them to quickly reach our northern border, regardless of the desire of the Belarusians. And it’s just a stone’s throw from Kyiv,” Romanenko worries.
The Ukrainian general did not explain in more detail how “regardless of the wishes of the Belarusians” Russia can carry out large-scale military maneuvers on their territory, and especially with offensive combat purposes.
