Putin and Poroshenko exchanged claims over the phone
Petro Poroshenko and Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation today, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Vladimir Putin expressed concern about the aggravation of the situation in Donbass, the increase in the number of civilian casualties as a result of increased shelling of the region by Ukrainian security forces,” the Kremlin press service reports.
“The head of the Ukrainian state called for the release of Ukrainian hostages held in Russian prisons and in the territories it occupied. He also noted the importance of allowing Human Rights Commissioner Lyudmila Denisova to see Oleg Sentsov and other Ukrainian prisoners,” the press service of the Ukrainian president reports in turn.
