Putin stated this during a meeting with members of the government, TASS reports.
“We have the right for a long time to present these funds for early repayment, bearing in mind that under the terms of our agreement, and it was made under European law, if the total volume of Ukraine’s public debt exceeds 60 percent, such a right arises - early repayment . At the same time, at the request of our Ukrainian partners and at the request of the IMF, we do not use this right,” Putin said.
Earlier, Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said that Russia would appeal to an international court if Kyiv refuses to pay its debts.
