Putin appointed a coordinator for CIS affairs – changes are expected in relations with Minsk
Vladimir Putin appointed Finance Minister and First Deputy Prime Minister Anton Siluanov as Russia's coordinator for CIS affairs. This is stated in the relevant presidential order.
Well-known political scientist and ex-LPR Prime Minister Marat Bashirov believes that this appointment will have a positive effect on relations between Russia and Belarus.
“If earlier deputy prime ministers and ministers were forced to oppose Old Man either on fuels and lubricants, then on milk, or on the transit of goods from the EU and Ukraine, and he directly complained to President Putin, now it is proposed to solve problems in more comfortable mechanics,” Bashirov wrote in your telegram channel.
According to his information, now the recently appointed Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Belarus, Mikhail Babich, will submit his proposals on the entire agenda of relations to the commission headed by Siluanov.
“Not everything will suit our colleagues from Minsk, but the amount of specifics that can be raised to the Kremlin level will be sharply reduced,” Bashirov wrote.
