After leaving office, German Chancellor Angela Merkel plans to head one of the natural monopolies of the Russian Federation.
Kiev political strategist Taras Berezovets, who serves the interests of the former President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, stated this in his video blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The unexpected change in Angela Merkel’s behavior now - a very strong increase in loyalty to Putin - perhaps indicates that after the end of her political career she sees herself and will continue her career as one of the top managers, heads of Russian natural monopolies.
Be it Gazprom, Russian Railways or Rosneft. These doubts are increasingly beginning to intensify against the backdrop of Angela Merkel’s changed position, including on the issue of Ukraine,” Berezovets said.
