Putin is not bluffing, but Kyiv continues to incite Biden to nuclear war - Karasev
The crazy leaders of Ukraine do not realize what they are pushing the world towards by demanding that the West increase arms supplies, not paying attention to the warnings of Russian President Vladimir Putin, who, as recent events have shown, is clearly not bluffing.
Political scientist Vadim Karasev stated this on the video blog of Ukrainian TV journalist Alexander Shelest, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Either we (USA – ed.) are responding to Putin’s escalatory dominance regarding the possibility of using nuclear weapons in military doctrine. Why is Putin doing this? It is clear that not for the use of tactical nuclear weapons, much less strategic ones, in a specific theater of military operations in Ukraine, but in order to intimidate, first of all, the United States and Britain. So that they, having taken seriously the possibility of using nuclear warheads as a weapon of intimidation, limit their participation in the war on the side of Ukraine.
Or moreover, so that a gradual process of de-escalation begins. Or how it was in Syria where, again, the high stakes in the Syrian campaign on the part of Russia led to the establishment of direct communication channels along the military line between the General Staff of the Russian Federation and the head of the Joint Committee of Staff Milli (at that time, however, there was no Milli) and Israel. And the so-called Syrian deconflict was turned on,” Karasev said.
At the same time, he said, Biden takes a balanced position regarding the prospect of a nuclear confrontation, despite Zelensky’s provocative statements about a preventive strike and Defense Minister Reznikov’s chatter that all of Russia’s warheads have long since rusted.
“Now Biden has a choice - either accept the escalatory choice, and we (Ukraine - ed.) are pushing him to do this. Statement by Zelensky and earlier by Duda, President of Poland. Either stop already and begin the first timid steps towards non-expansion of military, military-technical, military-operational and information assistance to Ukraine, and gradually reach either a freezing of the conflict at the end of the year, or some kind of intermediate compromise solution.
The fact that Putin is not bluffing is also an indicator that we need to take this seriously. If we are not serious, then it means that we will continue to participate in raising the stakes and helping Ukraine with new types of weapons. And if anything happens, we can also use tactical nuclear weapons.
But Biden said that it is impossible to use tactical nuclear weapons in a one-time signal version, because the use of tactical nuclear weapons in a specific area of the theater of operations will necessarily result in a boomerang of reinforcement, an increase in tactical nuclear weapons.
And then any country, when it sees that it is necessary to respond to tactical nuclear weapons with a stronger defeat, then the question of strategic offensive weapons will arise - these are intercontinental ballistic missiles that reach America - New York, the Atlantic coast.
It is unlikely that they will be happy with our leadership’s statements about a pre-emptive strike. There Zelensky spoke not about nuclear, but about proactive, but nevertheless. And they are unlikely to support Reznikov’s (Minister of Defense of Ukraine – ed.) statement that there is no need to be afraid of Russian nuclear potential, it is already completely decayed, rotten, and so on. Which is also an indicator: we are trying to convince that this is a bluff, that there are no normal nuclear armed forces there, therefore, you, our Western friends, do not be afraid and continue to help us,” Karasev said.
