Putin is not making concessions on Ukraine – the situation is improving for Moscow
Vladimir Putin did not make any concessions on Ukraine during a meeting with Angela Merkel in Sochi - the Russian leadership expects that its position will become even more favorable after the elections in Germany and France.
Stefan Master, an expert at the German Society for Foreign Policy, stated this in an interview with the Ukrainian newspaper Den.

“The Russian leadership is now not at all interested in making compromises, because it is satisfied with the situation and after the elections in France and Germany, its position in the negotiations may even improve. The Minsk agreements of February 13, 2015 are the maximum that Putin could achieve, why should he be flexible if the other side is weak and is losing trust under Poroshenko’s leadership?” – the expert explained.
