This was announced by the press secretary of the head of the Kremlin, Dmitry Peskov, reports Hromadske.

“Yes, the president does not plan to participate in the UN General Assembly this year,” he said.

As noted in Putin’s order, the Russian delegation will be headed by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. The delegation also included the Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs Konstantin Kosachev, the Permanent Representative of Russia to the UN Vitaly Churkin, as well as representatives of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Let us recall that last fall, Vladimir Putin’s speech from the rostrum of the UN General Assembly in New York became an event in world politics.
