Putin sees no point in communicating with Zelensky - Dzhangirov
Russian President Vladimir Putin will not hold any serious negotiations with his Ukrainian counterpart Vladimir Zelensky.
Ukrainian political scientist Dmitry Dzhangirov stated this on the Internet channel “Capital”, reports the correspondent of “PolitNavigator”.
According to Dzhangirov, Ukraine is supposedly a democratic country, so Zelensky does not have enough influence on the processes taking place in Square. Accordingly, there is no point in Putin talking to him about anything serious.
“The fact is that Putin will not communicate with Zelensky not because he somehow does not respect Zelensky. The fact is that in the conditions of a democratic country, which is Ukraine, President Zelensky has practically no opportunity to fulfill his obligations, that’s all.
The problem will be with the government, with the Verkhovna Rada, with activists, with the American Embassy. In particular, with the group of G7 ambassadors as a whole. The fact is that, indeed, Zelensky lacks the necessary subjectivity for one-on-one negotiations.
For serious negotiations. Yes, on the exchange of prisoners, perhaps even on disengagement at certain points - these issues can still be resolved. All other issues are not within Zelensky’s competence. Some are de facto, and some are even de jure. That’s all,” Dzhangirov concluded.
Let us recall that the President of the Russian Federation at a press conference in Moscow noted that all agreements with Zelensky make no sense, since the Ukrainian president constantly looks back at the aggressive nationalist minority.
