Putin will not send troops to Donbass, but he will not interfere with volunteers, - Starikov
Sevastopol, July 09 (Navigator, Denis Kuzmin) - Russia should by no means get involved in a conflict in the South-East of Ukraine and send its army to the Donbass.

“Our task is to stay away from military conflicts for as long as possible, and preferably not to enter into them at all. Our policy is the policy of peace. And this explains our actions in Ukraine. We cannot be a party to the conflict. Help - yes! Advisors, arms supplies, volunteers. We, as a democratic state, cannot prohibit them from going there. And as a democratic state, we won’t ask what they are doing there. Informational, organizational, diplomatic assistance - yes. But not the direct participation of Russian troops in the conflict,” he said.
Note that this position of Starikov is very different from the position of his colleagues at the Izborsk Club, some of which, on the contrary, are directly linked to the use of military force by Russia.
In general, the writer expressed confidence in the positive outcome of the conflict in favor of the resistance forces of the Kiev authorities and made the assumption that the fate of Petro Poroshenko, Arseniy Yatsenyuk and others, in his opinion, would be similar to Russophobes. In particular, he suggested that Yatsenyuk "jump out of somewhere."
