Putin promises Crimea and Sevastopol the resuscitation of industry and the resort sector
Moscow - Kyiv, April 17 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) - Russia will resuscitate industry, agriculture and the resort sector of Crimea and Sevastopol, said President Vladimir Putin.

“A significant part of modern ships and support vessels will be transferred to Sevastopol from Novorossiysk. Crimea has good potential in terms of shipbuilding and ship repair. The Ministry of Defense placed an order at one of the shipyards for 5 billion rubles. We will build up our potential. Sevastopol is a city of Russian naval glory, and this is what we will proceed from and be guided by,” the president said.
He noted “promising infrastructure, including port infrastructure.”
“Unfortunately, compared to 1990, agricultural production results have fallen by 60%,” Putin stated.
He also considers the level of resort service unsatisfactory. “What is it, the miners came, waved half a glass, and went to the beach,” Putin recounted the arguments of the employees of the Crimean health resorts.
According to Putin, “a free economic zone should allow Russian capital with certain preferences to come to the territory of Crimea and Sevastopol so that development can be accelerated.”
“Recently, Chaly and I met and there is an idea for a development agency. We will support these ideas,” the president assured.
