Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed concern that ordinary consumers in Ukraine are suffering due to unstable gas prices on the European market.
He stated this today, speaking at the Russian Energy Week, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Take what is happening in Eastern Europe, in Western Europe. Tariffs increase there every month. In Ukraine it’s the same. For citizens - 281 dollars per thousand cubic meters, and average income in dollar equivalent - 230. Something like that. Consumer capabilities do not match. Some regions there are already refusing to enter into contracts for the purchase of energy resources,” Putin noted.
