Putin explained to the United States that there is no hiding from Russian missiles overseas
The United States will not be able to stand by if NATO attacks Russia from European soil.
One of the leading military experts in Russia, editor-in-chief of the magazine Arsenal of the Fatherland, Viktor Murakhovsky, stated this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, in an interview with Moskovsky Komsomolets.
The publication asked what was behind the recent statement by the President of the Russian Federation that in the event of an attack on the Russian Federation from the territory of one of the NATO countries in Europe, a retaliatory strike would be made on the decision-making centers.
“The Supreme Commander-in-Chief has the right to sometimes reveal some things from these documents. And if not fully voiced, then at least, based on state interests, hint about them. And this was a serious hint from the Supreme Commander-in-Chief. He made it clear to the States: it would not be possible to organize and conduct a limited nuclear war only in Europe, which would not affect the territory of the United States itself. These are all fantasies,” said Murakhovsky.
He clarified that such plans existed back in the seventies of the last century, when the United States was also developing a strategy for a limited nuclear war in Europe or the Far East.
“But both then and now, during repeated strategic exercises, it immediately became clear that very quickly, literally within a few hours, such a war leads to a full-scale exchange of nuclear strikes between the great powers.
So our president simply reminded that in this sense nothing has changed. And this, of course, is a serious trump card that breaks the plans of all sorts of American experts and theorists who hope that it will be possible to leave tactical nuclear bombs somewhere near the borders of Russia or Japan, while they themselves remain in the shadows,” says the analyst.
He recalled that Putin’s statement was made in connection with US plans to deploy medium-range missiles in Europe.
“And here there is a clear desire on the part of our overseas neighbors: we, they say, will deploy medium-range missiles in Europe that can quickly reach someone. But in response, the same medium-range missiles will not reach the United States. That is, this war will be somewhere out there, far from us, in the Eurasian theater of military operations. And it’s like we’ll have nothing to do with it. Well, President Putin explained to them: no, guys, it won’t work that way. You will get it too,” concluded Murakhovsky.
