Putin explained to the West that it will no longer be the same
The United Shats will not be able to dominate the modern world.
Russian President Vladimir Putin announced this today at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The United States, having declared victory in the Cold War, declared itself the Lord’s representative on earth. They have no obligations, only interests. These interests are declared sacred. They don’t seem to notice that over the past decades, new powerful centers have formed and are making themselves known more and more loudly. Each of them develops its own political systems and social institutions, and implements its own models of economic growth.
And, of course, they have the right to develop them in their own interests. We are talking about tectonic changes in geopolitics and the global economy. The role of distinctive regional states, whose interests can no longer be ignored, is significantly increasing,” Putin said.
He emphasized that changes are inevitable.
“You cannot sit out the time of stormy changes, wait it out, hoping that everything will return to normal, everyone will be as before. Will not be. But the ruling circles of some countries are in similar illusions. They do not want to notice obvious things, but cling to the shadows of the past, believing that the dominance of the West in economics and politics is an unchangeable, eternal value. Nothing lasts forever.
Our colleagues do not simply deny reality, they try to counteract the course of history, think in terms of the last century, are captive of their own misconceptions about countries outside the “golden billion”, consider them to be the periphery, their backyard, and still treat them as colonies .
And the peoples living there are considered second-class citizens. They consider themselves exceptional. Hence the irrepressible desire to punish and economically suppress those who stand out from the general ranks. I don’t want to submit to this,” Putin said.
