Putin declared external interference in the affairs of Belarus, Kyrgyzstan and Moldova a threat
Increasing attempts at direct interference from outside in the internal affairs of states participating in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) are an overt challenge to general security.
Russian President Vladimir Putin stated this today, speaking at the SCO summit, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We are talking about a gross violation of sovereignty, an attempt to create a split in society, change the vector of development of the state, and break off centuries-old political, economic and humanitarian ties,” Putin said.
As an example, he cited events in Belarus.
“Belarus, an observer in the SCO, also found itself under such a blow from external forces. After the presidential elections in the country, our Belarusian friends are experiencing unprecedented pressure, resisting sanctions and provocations, and the information and propaganda war unleashed against them.
We consider it unacceptable for anyone from the outside to impose decisions on the Belarusian people. It is necessary to allow Belarusians to calmly figure everything out on their own and take the necessary steps. The same fully applies to the recent events in Kyrgyzstan and to the unfolding internal political struggle in Moldova,” Putin said.
