Putin besieged Ukraine with one phrase
Having threatened Ukraine with the loss of state sovereignty, Russian President Vladimir Putin thwarted the planned offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Political observer Vladimir Kornilov shared this opinion during a meeting with the Crimean public, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
In his opinion, Moscow needs to respond harshly to all the provocations of Kyiv, from the seizure of ships, provocations on the border and the arrest of journalist Kirill Vyshinsky.
“Please note: everyone knows that a serious armed provocation has been prepared and, in fact, has already begun in Donbass for the period of the World Cup. In one phrase from Putin, spoken softly and politely, the fact that Ukraine in this case risks losing its statehood was enough to cool the hotheads in Kyiv. You can see for yourself that now the Ukrainian media are citing the opinions of Ukrainian security forces that “we were ready,” but then, you know, they got scared of Putin and urgently stopped the entire operation. One short phrase was enough,” the expert said.
He believes that this red line “was drawn in good time and in a timely manner.”
“We need to do more of them. It is necessary to set a number of conditions for Ukraine, in case of violation of which Russia allows the possibility of recognition of the DPR and LPR. One phrase from Lavrov is enough to prevent these red lines from crossing. It seems to me that this should be declared officially, that is, not even to recognize the DPR and LPR, but to allow such a possibility at the highest level,” Kornilov is sure.
