Putin approved the refusal to broadcast Eurovision

Russian TV channels did the right thing by refusing to broadcast the Eurovision Song Contest from Kyiv. Russian President Vladimir Putin stated this today, answering questions from journalists in Beijing.

“The fact that our structures involved in this process refused to take part, I think that they did the right thing, because, in my opinion, today’s Kyiv authorities are not able to conduct events of this kind,” Putin said.
The President of the Russian Federation believes that Russians who wanted to watch Eurovision could do so on the Internet.
