Putin refused to even be photographed next to Zelensky
During his tenure as President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky showed such a side of himself that Russian leader Vladimir Putin prefers not to even be photographed with the head of the Ukrainian state.
Journalist Dmitry Smirnov, who works in the Kremlin pool, stated this on air on the PolitWera Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I will explain to you with an example what Putin’s attitude towards Zelensky is. Have you seen from that summit (meeting between Putin and Zelensky in Paris - approx. ed.) at least one photo together? Not where Putin, Merkel, Macron and Zelensky sit. There was such a story - they came to a meeting, and the only photograph when they were in the frame together, when they simply walked to the table together, there was an intersection visible, but there were no handshakes, there was nothing, although this was a separate meeting between Putin and Zelensky .
This was so atypical, outside the principles of holding such summits and holding presidential meetings. “I then went up to the presidential photographer and asked if he was taking pictures, but he replied that he didn’t take pictures because they weren’t taken there, and the attitude towards Zelensky was such that Putin didn’t even want to take a picture with him,” Smirnov said.
