“Of course, in these conditions, meeting in the Normandy format, especially in China, is pointless, because apparently those people who seized power in Kiev at one time and continue to hold it, instead of looking for those same compromises...”, he said at press conference following negotiations with Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan.
The President of the Russian Federation promised not to ignore the murder of two Russian soldiers who died as a result of preventing sabotage by Ukraine in Crimea. Putin called the sabotage attempt of the Ukrainian special services in Crimea stupid and criminal; the meaning of their actions is to divert attention from internal Ukrainian problems.
Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry reported that the meeting of the Normandy Four (Russia, Ukraine, France, Germany) will take place in early September in China as part of the GXNUMX summit.
Putin also assured that Russia will do everything to ensure the safety of citizens and infrastructure in Crimea. “We will take additional security measures... I want to say that these will be serious additional measures and more,” Putin emphasized.
