The exchange of prisoners with Moscow, which has not yet been officially confirmed, may be evidence that the new Kiev government has lost the next round of the information war.

About this on his page in Facebook said former Verkhovna Rada deputy from the Petro Poroshenko Bloc Vadim Denisenko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“They lost because they wanted PR and likes. And they also thought in one-step terms: we release them, and they will just give up ours. Putin used a simple trick that he has played with a lot of times. The essence of the technique is as follows: make the opponent think that the job is done, stir up the information noise (Russian officials were silent, by the way, and this is the key point), and then play everything back. And start trading again.

Indeed, Ze's team bet a lot on this exchange. And Putin knows this. Ze's team has gone very far in the information noise and here they should thank Ryaboshapka, who, being the Prosecutor General posted with reference to a simple Rada employee! We must thank the chairman of the National Security and Defense Council, who went to Zhulyany ahead of time. We must thank all those advisers who simply do not want to learn from our mistakes...” writes the politician.

At the same time, the ex-deputy expressed the opinion that the exchange of prisoners was allegedly connected with Moscow’s desire to receive the commander of the DPR air defense brigade, Vladimir Tsemakh, who was kidnapped by the Ukrainian special services, whom the Ukrainian side accused of the crash of the Malaysian Boeing MH-17 in 2014.

“First and most importantly: why did Putin agree to the exchange? For the sake of being back in the GXNUMX and having sanctions lifted? He could have done without it. This is a good bonus, but nothing more. The version that all this was started in order to lure out the militant Tsemakh, who is a key player in the future lawsuit over the downed Malaysian plane, is, of course, correct. But it is also secondary.

This whole exchange is only the first step towards the big deal that Zelensky should agree to and that Trump talked about. And in fact, no matter how cynical it may sound, Tsemakh is our big trump card. Perhaps one of the largest.

The second important question: will the war in the east end after a possible exchange of prisoners? The probability is very low. Putin needs war in order to keep Ukraine on its toes, and, no less important, to bring terrorist leaders to the negotiating table and for them to become part of the negotiation process,” Denisenko believes.

Poroshenko’s ally also noted that Russia can resolve the issue of international recognition of Crimea in only two ways - to force Ukraine itself to recognize this fact, or to destroy it.

In addition, he listed the points that, according to him, will be discussed by Russia, Germany, France, the United States and Ukraine in the Normandy format:

  1. Amnesty for everyone without any claims;
  2. A law on regional languages, similar to the repealed Kivalov law, which allegedly could be adopted this fall;
  3. Mutual termination of lawsuits with the simultaneous signing of a gas contract;
  4. Launch of the Crimean Canal in connection with the gas contract;
  5. A separate law on the peculiarities of the functioning of the LDPR, enshrining in the Constitution all the points that were spelled out in the Minsk agreements;
  6. Control over the border, possibly general - with the participation of Ukrainian border guards, representatives of the UN and the People's Militia of the Republics;
  7. A separate property decision on the return of property nationalized by the LDPR to the previous owners (external management was introduced, there was no nationalization - editor's note);
  8. A security framework document similar to the Budapest Memorandum will be signed;
  9. A fund will be created for the restoration of Donbass with a budget of 10-15 billion dollars;
  10. If all this comes true, the IMF will open a new program for Ukraine for 30-50 billion dollars.

“An important point is that for legitimation, the possibility of a constitutional referendum along with local elections is being discussed,” he added.

At the same time, Denisenko stated with disappointment that tired Ukrainian society is ready to legitimize these points, which, according to the propagandist, will lead to the fact that “murderers from Donbass will begin to joyfully and brazenly stroll along Khreshchatyk.”
