Putin teased Macron about spies
Speaking about the importance of student exchange between Russia and France, Russian President Vladimir Putin noted that there are many people who know Russian in the circle of French President Emmanuel Macron.

“I noticed that there are many people around the president who speak Russian. I hope that they are not specialists on the Soviet Union, but specialists on Russia in the broad sense of the word. I mean the language, culture, history of our country. This puts you in a positive mood. I hope that we will have more supporters here, people who understand and feel us better, with whom we can substantively discuss things of mutual interest to us,” Putin said.
Putin and Macron held their first talks today in Versailles, which lasted 2 hours and 45 minutes.
