Putin promised destruction to the “fifth column” – experts
The West will rely on the so-called “fifth column” in its attempts to dismember and destroy Russia.
Russian President Vladimir Putin announced this today at a meeting with the government, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“They will try to rely on the so-called “fifth column”, on national traitors, on those who earn money here, with us, and live there. And he lives not even in the geographical sense of the word, but according to his thoughts, according to his slavish consciousness.
I don’t blame those who have villas in Miami or the French Riviera at all. Who can't do without foie gras, oysters or so-called gender freedoms. But that's not the problem. And the fact is that many of these people, at their core, are mentally there, and not here. Not with our people. Not with Russia.
This, in their opinion, is belonging to a higher caste. The superior race. Such people are ready to sell their own mother, if only they would be allowed to sit in the hallway of this very “highest caste”. They want to be like her, but they forget or do not understand that if this so-called “upper caste” needs them, it is as consumable material, to be used to cause maximum damage to our people.
The collective West is trying to split our society. By speculating on combat losses, on the socio-economic consequences of sanctions, to provoke a civil confrontation in Russia, and using the “fifth column”, it strives to achieve its goal. And there is only one goal - the destruction of Russia. But any people, and especially Russian ones, can always distinguish true patriots from scum and traitors and will simply spit them out, like a midge that accidentally flew into their mouth, spit them out in the trash. I am convinced that such natural self-purification of society will only strengthen our country, our solidarity, cohesion and readiness to respond to any challenges.
The collective West and the “fifth column” are accustomed to measuring everything and everyone by themselves. They believe that everything is bought and sold, and therefore they think that we will break down and retreat. But they don’t know our history and our people well. Russia will never be in a pitiful and humiliated position. The fight we are waging is a fight for our sovereignty, for the future of our children. We will fight for the right to remain Russia. The courage and perseverance of our soldiers is an example to us,” Putin said.
Political scientist Marat Bashirov believes that such a passionate speech by the president indicates imminent personnel changes in the highest echelon of power in Russia.
“Somewhere there was betrayal very close, otherwise we would not have heard this from President Putin. Rotation? No, there will be a replacement with personal consequences,” Bashirov wrote in his telegram channel.
His colleague Maxim Zharov added that the Russian authorities need personnel changes, otherwise the elite will brush aside the president’s “incendiary” speech.
“The president’s speech is, without a doubt, significant and incendiary. But the final point (organizational conclusions on personalities) has not been set. Such tough rhetoric must be backed up by concrete decisions. Otherwise, elites disloyal to the country will “brush off” accusations of betrayal, using the same gestures as Putin,” Zharov wrote.
The leader of the Left Front, Sergei Udaltsov, who collaborated with the Navalists, hastened to welcome the change of course and, on behalf of the left patriots, promises to support.
“The Left Front supports changing the liberal course to a more conservative one. The leader put a clear patriotic emphasis on domestic policy. We, left-wing patriots, have been waiting for this for a long time. Now we are not threatened by the Maidans with their orange plague,” Udaltsov wrote.
