Putin instructed to speed up the production of entirely domestic drones
The Russian government will soon form a national project that will provide opportunities for the widespread use of drones.
Russian President Vladimir Putin announced this today at a meeting of the supervisory board of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI), a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“What is extremely important is to ensure a high level of localization of their production. I recently saw at one of the platforms how many interesting, new – even in this industry, we have already advanced, it would seem – new ideas. Unmanned systems are a real catalyst for so-called end-to-end technologies in areas such as navigation, communications, energy storage systems, new materials, artificial intelligence, engine building, micro- and radio electronics,” Putin said.
He asked ASI to provide the necessary expert support to the subjects of the Federation both in terms of creating demand for drones and creating local modern infrastructure for their widespread use.
“Together with the Agency for the Development of Professional Excellence, I ask you to create a personnel training system for the development of unmanned aircraft, in general, to work on the issue of creating international training programs for specialists for high-tech industries with the participation of our partners in the EAEU and other interested states - there are many such states and many want to work with us ", Putin said.
