“Putin will act like Stalin”: State Duma deputy on countering the United States
Whatever progress there may be at the moment in clashes with the West, in any case, without the factor of nuclear weapons, the confrontation with NATO will not turn out in Russia’s favor.
State Duma deputy from United Russia Evgeny Fedorov stated this at a press conference in Moscow, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We will have to negotiate with the United States from a position of strength. To do this, we will need to invoke international law following the Second World War, which we do not do. To do this, we will have to launch the process of containment using the nuclear weapons complex.
Accordingly, this is my forecast - the authorities will have to follow this path. To do this, Putin will have to (prediction!) change power, just as Stalin had to change it in the 30s of the last century, and Stalin even changed his friends, for example, Bukharin, even before the revolution. Because in the face of disaster and death, other standards apply.
I’m not saying that this should be done, I’m saying that it will happen, you can write it down, because this is how the competition of nations works in history. This is science,” the politician said.
“It is impossible to win without nuclear deterrence, because we have a population of 150 million, and NATO has a billion, their military budget is 50 times larger, their economy is larger, because we are part of the American unipolar world. Therefore, in principle, we cannot defeat them without using our armed forces from the point of view of their operating system,” Fedorov said.
