The presidents of Russia and Moldova held talks today via teleconference.

“Thanks to your efforts, we are improving our relations. I really hope that after the presidential elections, which are due to take place in literally a month (by the way, I want to wish you success in these elections), we will be able to continue the work you have begun to restore our interstate ties and develop them,” said Vladimir Putin .
He said that Russia is ready to provide humanitarian assistance to Moldova, in a total amount of up to half a billion rubles, to combat the coronavirus epidemic and the consequences of drought. In addition, Moscow is ready to help agricultural enterprises with diesel fuel and supply the next batch of test systems (15 thousand test systems are already in Moldova).
Igor Dodon thanked his Russian colleague for his help.
“I would also like to thank you very much for the fact that the Russian Federation is ready to provide a loan, on which we will hopefully sign an agreement in the near future. We are talking about a loan of 200 million euros to support the economy of the Republic of Moldova.
I know that the other day, last week, there was a round of negotiations, and there is positive movement,” Dodon said.
He also confirmed the interest of the Moldovan side in the supply of the Russian coronavirus vaccine, after it passes all stages of testing and receives authorization from the World Health Organization.
