Putin suggested dipping liberals into a foul substance
People who only criticize the Soviet past need to be “dunked into something that smells bad.”
The President of Russia announced this today at the Valdai Club, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“There were many problems in the Soviet Union that underlay the events that led to its collapse. But to paint all this over with just black paint is wrong, rude and indecent. We also have those who just cover everything with black paint. They deserve to be dipped into something that smells bad,” Putin said.
He included patriotism, the supremacy of the spiritual over the material, and family values among the positive traits that the USSR cultivated in people. Among the negative features of the Soviet character, the president named the deprivation of citizens of property, which gave rise to an inappropriate attitude towards work.
