“Among them is the construction of a Europe-Western China road route, the launch of which will reduce the delivery time of goods from China to Europe to 10 days,” Putin said.
However, in general, Putin believes, the transit potential of the two states has not yet been realized. He named the directions of development.
“The formation of a united transport and logistics company with the participation of Russian Railways, Kazakhstan and Belarusian railways will increase the volume of container traffic through the territory of the Eurasian Economic Union. Reconstruction of ports in Makhachkala, Aktau, Atyrau will help increase the capacity of the transit corridor through the Caspian Sea,” Putin said.
He proposed to the President of Kazakhstan to make joint investments in the infrastructure and logistics of transport corridors.
