For Russian President Vladimir Putin, the main thing is to save the lives of his military, so he does not give orders for the quick and complete destruction of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but invites his military leadership to methodically and systematically liberate Ukraine with the least losses.

Russian writer and politician Zakhar Prilepin stated this in his video blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“The commander-in-chief said: “We are in no hurry, fight as long as you see fit.” ...We turn on Arestovich, and he says, “we knocked the Russians out from near Kyiv, Sumy and Chernigov. We crushed the Russian army."

Everyone understands that the Russian army was there and left due to the fact that Vladimir Vladimirovich asked the question: “Are these forces enough to solve all the assigned tasks?” They said, “no, it’s not enough, we need three times as much or five. It is necessary to carry out instigation, conscription, mobilization.” He says, “then clean it up.” “Clean and work with these forces, work as much as necessary,” the writer explained.

He emphasized that the Russian army, despite everything, is advancing successfully in areas where the Ukrainian military has been strengthening for 8 years.

“And they work successfully. We are talking about successes, because people don’t really imagine what Rubizhne, Popasnaya, and all the approaches to Severodonetsk represented – this is commensurate with Mariupol. This is a human shield, heavily fortified positions, a huge number of Ukrainian fighters, highly motivated. And that’s it, they break everything everywhere.

The commander-in-chief decided for himself that in any case, time is on our side. Economically, morally and mentally, we have enough determination and calmness and tolerance to do this for as long as possible.

We have wheat, we will not starve. There is milk, eggs and electricity, and gas, and oil. It's warm here and we'll cook some porridge for ourselves. Nothing will happen to us. This is the greatest discovery that we have made to ourselves. But there is nothing there. There will be no wheat, there will be no light, maybe there will be no gas. I’m talking about Ukraine, I’m talking about our strategic opponents,” Prilepin said.

He made a comparison of the number of people mobilized in Ukraine, whom the Ukrainian authorities are throwing to the fronts as cannon fodder, and Russia’s ability to attract trained military personnel.

“Now compare if the waves of mobilization are Ukrainian and ours have not yet taken place. It is clear that they brought all their reserves there, those people who went through the special operation. They drove out all their experienced fighters and suffered huge losses.

Now a stormtrooper I know in Donetsk told me that they strictly put reservists in front, and behind them are already experienced fighters as a second layer. And these first rows are knocked out, knocked out. Then they survived three or four days of shelling, maybe some kind of counterattacks, and the survivors who were more or less shelled, experienced, already understand. By losing personnel, they increase their experience.

We have about 75 thousand applications from participants in armed conflicts and people who have served in the army, in one form or another, with experience. These are men in excellent condition, pensioners who are 38-40 years old or 33, 35, that is, full of energy.

Then, no matter what they say about the Russian army, I will reveal a secret, I will probably upset many mothers, because there are a huge number of boys, conscripts who are drafted, who write a statement saying, please take us. Whole squads, platoons and companies. They won’t take them, there are no such plans,” the writer said.

At the same time, he added that Russia has something to answer to the NATO bloc.

“In fact, the calculation is simple: if you want to arrange a hot conflict for us, a war with NATO, we are ready. We do not use exactly as much missiles and defense systems as is needed for a war with Europe. Want to? We’ll start now, and suddenly it turns out that we have everything ready for this,” Prilepin explained.

He believes that as the Russian army succeeds, the foreign policy situation will change positively for Moscow.

“There is also Belarus. There are still some vague negotiations and meetings in the CSTO, which, it turns out, will even expand. That is, it’s not that everyone ran away from Rossi in different directions, but even differently.

And, of course, those very visible turning points in the campaign that is now going on in Ukraine will happen, of course, those who want to be friends with Russia and have relations with it will begin to grow exponentially.

And so everyone understands that we are putting pressure. I just wanted everything to be very fast. But, thank God, our current president is not a PR man. He’s not the “let’s show off” kind of guy. It’s simply “take care of people and move at the speed you’re moving.” For three days not a single village was taken (although this usually does not happen) - “nothing terrible,” the writer assures.

He predicted that in the fall the war would take on a completely different character.

“Now we are in May, in the summer it will be clear that the Donetsk and Lugansk regions will be liberated entirely. Then we move on to other areas. Now they will come out, and there will be a really different stage of the special operation, because we will be talking about those areas of Ukraine where nothing has happened yet, and suddenly it will begin to happen.

We must understand that time works for us - this is the first point. The second point is that this will last another six months. In fact, the six months that begin in October are completely different six months than the months before October. Because from October everyone will be cold and hungry and unbearable, but we will be fine,” Prilepin predicted.
