Putin threatened to “promote” those who do not issue Russian passports in new regions
Russian President Vladimir Putin called on the Ministry of Internal Affairs to speed up the issuance of Russian passports in new regions.
He stated this today at an extended meeting of the board of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I understand that there are probably difficulties here, but these are not difficulties that the ministry would not be able to solve. I ask you to restore order here and do it quickly. People want to be citizens of our country and go to get passports.
Firstly, everything lasts a very long time, for months, and you have to stand in queues for an infinite amount of time. Who is doing this? These people must approach this task responsibly. If they don’t know how, they need to teach. If they don’t want to, they need to be promoted or transferred somewhere. Get busy. I’m serious,” the president emphasized.
He also called on the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs to speed up work on creating regional offices in Donbass.
