Putin told what offer Zelensky recklessly refused
Russia tried to avoid bloodshed in Ukraine and even before the start of hostilities, it proposed to the Kyiv regime to withdraw troops from Donbass.
Russian President Vladimir Putin announced this today at a meeting with the government, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I want to say this for the first time, at the very beginning of the operation in Donbass, the Kyiv authorities through various channels, in order to avoid senseless bloodshed, were asked not to engage in hostilities, but simply to withdraw their troops from Donbass.
They didn't want to. Well, it's their decision. Awareness of what is happening in a real situation will inevitably come. The operation is developing successfully, in strict accordance with pre-approved plans,” Putin said.
He emphasized that Russia has no goal of occupying Ukraine, and the Ukrainian Armed Forces, while retreating, are trying to destroy as many civilians as possible.
“They hit indiscriminately – across squares. With fanaticism and frenzy of the doomed. It’s like the fascists in the last days of the Third Reich tried to drag as many innocent victims as possible into the grave,” Putin said.
