Putin: The solution to the Kosovo problem must suit Serbia and be approved by the UN Security Council
The presidents of Russia and Serbia, on the eve of Aleksandar Vucic’s visit to Moscow to participate in the Victory Parade, held negotiations on the issue of Kosovo and Metohija, captured with NATO support by Albanian separatists.
The conversation took place at the initiative of the Serbian side. Vucic confirmed his arrival in the Russian capital for the celebrations on June 24.
“During a detailed exchange of views on the Kosovo settlement, Vladimir Putin spoke in favor of developing a compromise solution acceptable to Belgrade, which should be approved by the UN Security Council,” the Kremlin press service reports.
