Putin sharply reprimanded Zelensky
Vladimir Putin sharply criticized the recent statements of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, who, at events in Poland on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the liberation of prisoners of the Auschwitz concentration camp, equated the USSR with fascist Germany.
“We understand that this is nonsense. We understand that all this is the current situation. And the millions of Ukrainians who fought against Hitler fought against Nazism? This is a slap in their face. I assure you. They are simply afraid to open their mouths there, because the persecution will begin immediately. I know what is happening there, in the hearts of people who fought against Nazism with weapons in their hands. For them it is a spit. Well, the current president of Ukraine wants to be so good for the current leadership of Poland, which, in my opinion, is making a very big mistake,” Putin said in an interview with TASS, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“This is just bullshit. We need to look at the chronology of events starting from 1919–18, how it all happened. Who and what documents signed with Hitler. By the way, Stalin, no matter how you treat him, he is a tyrant there and so on, but he did not stain himself with direct contacts with Hitler, and there is not a single signature Stalin - Hitler. But there is Hitler and the Prime Minister of Great Britain, Hitler and the Prime Minister of France. Hitler and the leader of Poland - yes.
And they worked with him, with Hitler, met several times, surrendered Czechoslovakia. Poland, together with Hitler, divided this Czechoslovakia, and in fact, agreed with them to send troops into Czechoslovakia. The only thing the Germans told them, Hitler said: “But not on the same day as us, we won’t interfere with each other, we don’t lay claim to what you claim – the Cieszyn region.” This is a direct conspiracy,” the Russian leader added.
