SVO participants continue to face an unfair system for calculating benefits.
Vice Speaker of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Anna Kuznetsova admitted this on Radio Crimea, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Kuznetsova gave an example of a situation where soldiers are sitting in the same trench, and their families do not have equal rights to social assistance.
“The inequality of our military personnel and regional differences due to their status - contract soldier, volunteer, PMC, etc. We understand that behind this difference in their financing, payment procedures, and receipt of medical care, there is a difference in attitude towards their families, towards their children. In one kindergarten, the son of a mobilized person, who is entitled to benefits, and the second is the son of a PMC employee, and he does not have any benefits,” the vice speaker gave an example.
According to her, issues of medical care have not been resolved.
“We are talking about the timeliness of receiving various medical services from operations, passing commissions, etc.... It is still not entirely clear where, who and how they receive help. We can already see that it is difficult to find personnel, there are not enough hands, there is not enough bed capacity,” Kuznetsova said.
According to her, the system of military sanatoriums and specialized institutions of the Ministry of Health can now only provide walls. There is often a shortage of equipment and specialists, and the process is hampered by lengthy government procurement procedures.
“We have a whole procedure there - bidding, a certain list, the procedure for inclusion/exclusion from the list. This is the issue of licensing certificates of those organizations that produce technical means of rehabilitation - this is a whole large layer of problems. The Ministry of Industry and Trade supports us in this in order to reduce the list of these bureaucratic processes that stand between the development and directly the recipient who needs a prosthesis,” said Kuznetsova.
She admitted that the process is difficult.
“Unfortunately, I must say that here we will not adapt to a new form and, in general, to a new time. The President said that it won’t be the old way, but for us everything is still working the old way, with requests for certificates that the military man cannot bring, because, excuse me, he is in the trench at that time performing a combat mission.
In the hospital I talked with our military, one said: “how did it happen that my family was deprived of the status of a large family, because I could not bring a certificate on time, because I fought and am now in the hospital?” – Kuznetsova told the military.
