Putin compared the Kerch Bridge to the Olympic venues in Sochi
Russian President Vladimir Putin reassured a resident of Kerch, whose house is being demolished due to the construction of the Kerch Bridge. The woman was worried that the houses they were to be moved into would not be built on time and that the housing would be of poor quality.

“We have the same problem, perhaps much more acute, in Sochi when we were implementing the Olympic project. There were also a lot of problems and questions with this, and people had a lot of concerns. In the end, people got - to be honest, and I think they would also agree with this - many, in any case, got housing of a quality that they never had and which they would hardly have gotten if not for this Olympic project and not this resettlement,” Putin said, speaking to the Crimean activists of the ONF in the village of Ponizovka.
The President emphasized that the federal center carries out financing of facilities without failures, and control over construction should be carried out by local authorities.
“I can advise Sergei Valerievich (Aksenov, the head of Crimea - ed.): you need to install cameras, put them online directly in your office and watch what happens there every day,” Putin said.
