The West is dissatisfied with Russian President Vladimir Putin because of his strong foreign policy, which does not fit into the rules of the Anglo-Saxon game.
Former US Ambassador to Moscow Michael McFaul said this on the YouTube channel Ekho Moskvy, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Putin does not suit the West. He became an ideological leader in foreign policy. If he was realistic and worked with others, it wouldn't be bad. Of course, America has good relations with many non-democracies.
But over the last 5-6 years, since the annexation of Crimea, Putin has taken a lot of risks, and he has done a lot of things in foreign policy that are against the rules of the game,” McFaul said.
