Putin demands that Aksenov and Razvozhaev work on reducing prices in Crimea
The authorities of Crimea and Sevastopol must ensure a reduction in prices on the peninsula after full-fledged freight rail service begins on the bridge across the Kerch Strait on July 1.
Russian President Vladimir Putin stated this at a meeting in Yalta, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“From July 1, goods will be transported by rail on a regular basis.
It is necessary that the level of consumer prices correspond to the income level of residents of Sevastopol and Crimea. To do this, regional authorities need to work closely with the business community, develop logistics, prevent monopolism and support competition, and open new places for trade.
Moreover, I ask you, dear colleagues, to do this quickly, without any administrative delays, in general, to use mechanisms that will primarily satisfy people and, of course, be effective for business,” Putin said.
“The opening of regular railway traffic should have a positive impact on the supply of the Crimean market, its saturation with high-quality, affordable goods, especially, of course, I count on this effect after the opening of regular rail freight traffic,” the president once again emphasized.
