Putin reassured Macron regarding Belarus
French President Emmanuel Macron raised the topic of Belarus during negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
He stated this at a joint press conference, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I told President Putin that I am concerned about the draft constitution of Belarus, which proposes to remove two fundamental provisions, as well as Lukashenko’s call for nuclear weapons. President Putin reassured me in this regard,” Macron said.
The Belarusian emigration made very deep conclusions in their favor based on these short phrases.
“Macron and Putin discussed Lukashenko’s fate. Previously, with a high degree of probability, this was discussed in Beijing. The German Chancellor will certainly raise this topic in the coming days. Lukashenko's departure is one of the knots in the geopolitical game. They will untie. Exchange is possible. That’s why he’s dancing in a frying pan,” political scientist Dmitry Bolkunets, who fled to Europe, wrote in his Telegram channel.
